Day 1 July 4th  ( Wednesday)

VILNIUS. Arrival. Private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Today you will explore Vilnius: UNESCO listed Old Town with it‘s main historical and architectural monuments. Pass by Vilnius Cathedral, Grand Duke Palace, get up to Gediminas Castle tower, walk Castle street – the oldest and most flamboyant street in the Old Town, see baroque Vilnius University and Gothic St. Ann’s church, say a prayer at the miraculous Gates of the Dawn. KGB museum – learn about the loss of independence in the middle of the 20th century, repressions by Soviet authorities, and the self-sacrificing and persistent fight for independence.  In the evening enjoy impressive Ensemble’s Evening in Kalnai Park.  Overnight 3* “Comfort LT” hotel or similar.

Day 2 July 5th ( Thursday)

VILNIUS-PAZAISLIS – KAUNAS - VILNIUS. Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure to Kaunas with en route stop at Pazaislis church & monastery - one of the most impressive architectural examples of late Italian baroque in North East Europe. Later continue to the second biggest Lithuanian city Kaunas, Lithuanian capital between the World Wars. Kaunas is proud of remarkable Old Town which is a collection of ancient architectural monuments in gothic  and art déco styles. Visit museum of world famous Lithuanian artist, painter and composer, M.K. Ciurlionis, try the first in Lithuania and one of the oldest in Europe wooden funicular of Zaliakalnis, get on the top of Christ Resurrection Church and enjoy panoramic view of the city. Last but not least – visit “Stumbras” distillery and have a strong alcohol degustation. Return to Vilnius. Dance day event in the Stadium of  the Lithuanian Football Federation. Overnight in Vilnius, 3* hotel “Comfort LT” or similar.

Day 3 July 6th ( Friday) 

VILNIUS. Breakfast at the hotel. Visit one of the most beautiful churches in the world, baroque masterpiece – church of St. Petras and Povilas. Surprises await in quirky neighbourhood of artists also known as Republic of Uzupis. Evening event –Song day in Vingis park. Overnight in 3* hotel “Comfort LT” or similar.

 

Day 4 July 7th (Saturday)

VILNIUS – TRAKAI – KERNAVE - VILNIUS. Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will visit Trakai – the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, a majestic insular castle of 15th century and learn about local ethnic minority – karaites. Here you will have a chance to taste traditional karaite’s dish – kybin and try traditional liqueur. Afterword travel to UNESCO Heritage site – Kernave, where on the 5 mound complex a great event “Days of Live Archeology” will take place. It is an experimental archeology festival. The indescribable impression is emphasised by the sounds of ancient music and flavours of delicious meals prepared according to the medieval recipes.   The festival introduces the restored crafts of prehistoric and early medieval periods, ancestor’s life. Visitors have opportunity to throw pottery, mint a coin and try their hand at archery. Return to Vilnius for overnight. 3* hotel “Comfort LT” or similar.

 

Day 5 July 8th (Sunday) 

Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the airport. Departure.
