DAY 1 Vilnius. Arrival in Vilnius. Private tranfer from the airport to a hotel. 3 hours city tour of Vilnius includes the UNESCO listed Old Town with it‘s main historical and architectural momuments: the Cathedral and university campus,  the Gothic corner, Pilies street with St. John‘s church‘s campanile, the Bastion of Vilnius city wall. At the end visit Republic of Užupis – Vilnius Bohemian and artistic district. Dinner at the restaurant „Sweet root“ – seasons inspired local cuisine. Accommodation.

 

DAY 2 Vilnius – Trakai – Varnikai cognitive walking way – Kernavė - Vilnius. Morning trip to Trakai, the ancient capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, visit to the 15th century Insular Trakai Castle. After drive to Varnikai cognitive walking way. Educative 3.45 km long path leads through the most beautiful and hardly accessible places of the preserve, provide the visitors with knowledge about nature, peculiarities of local landscape. For the dessert the old Lithuanian capital Kernavė which  charms visitors with its irresistible panorama. Four mysterious mounds in a broad river valley evoke several millennia of history and the distant times of the early Baltic tribes. Accommodation.

 

DAY 3  Vilnius – Curonian Spit - Klaipėda. You will travel to Curonian Spit – the pearl of Lithuania. In Juodkrante you will climb an authentic Hill of Witches,  decorated with numerous wooden sculptures based on Lithuanian legends and folk tales. In Nida you will see majestic seashore sand dunes, unique wooden architecture.Visit Nagliai Natural Reserve with Grey dunes. Back for overnight to the only Lithuanian seaport Klaipėda. Accommodation.

 

DAY 4 Klaipėda – Ventė – Rusne island - Klaipėda. Get back in history to the area known in the past as “Memelland” - the part of Lithuania Minor consisting of the coastland around Klaipėda (formerly known as Memel) and along the Curonian Lagoon, on the right bank of Neman River.  During this trip you will get to see a lot of the beautiful Lithuanian countryside. The route passes through villages and small provincial towns. First stop in Svencele – surfing center in Lithuania. Later continue to Vente’s Horn, enjoying picturesque views of Curonian Lagoon and Curonian Spit. Vente’s Ornithological Station, situated in a beautiful cape is on one of the major north-south bird migration routes. At the centre you can be lucky enough to find a bird and put a ring on its leg with a help of professional ornithologist. Last but not least – Rusne island in Nemunas Delta regional park. Back for overnight to Klaipėda. Accommodation.

 

DAY 5 Klaipėda – Panemune road – Pažaislis monastery – Juniper valley - Vilnius. Along the most picturesque road – Panemune Castle Road – you will visit Seredzius mound &  Panemune castles. Later stop at Pazaislis church & monastery - one of the most impressive architectural examples of late Italian baroque in North East Europe. Also visit juniper valley in Kaunas regional park. Farewell finner in one of the best restaurants in Baltic countries – „Dublis“. Overnigh in Vilnius.

 

DAY 6  Vilnius. End of the tour. Departure.
