DAY 1 Arrival. Private transfer to the airport. Welcome dinner at national Lithuanian cuisine restaurant with folk show. Overnight in Vilnius.

 

DAY 2 Meeting a representative of the Ministry of Energy, get know and discuss about energy independence of Lithuania. Later visit laser technology company ‘’EKSPLA’’ or similar leading laser company in Vilnius. Main products of these companies are advanced lasers , laser systems and their components . These companies holds more than half of the global scientific picosecond laser market and produces the world's only SFG spectrometer for materials for surface exploration. Meeting with a company representative, get know with laser technology in Lithuania , company activities and current technologies. Later meeting with Vilnius municipality’s representatives who will introduce the project " Vilnius Tech Park”. This is a unique project in Baltic countries. It will be implemented on common municipal , private companies and investors' efforts. This park will make Vilnius as the center of technologies as Silicon Valley. The center will be not only technology one but also the space of creativity, culture and recreation. Overnight in Vilnius. 

 

DAY 3 Morning meeting with a representative of “Lithuanian Institute of Physical Sciences Division of Nanotechnology” and discuss about the current Lithuania’s situation in the field. Later visit “Aleksandras Stulginskis Agricultural university”. “Aleksandras Stulginskis University” is a state institution of higher education and research which is constantly improving its activities and meeting the highest expectations of society needs. It is the only state institution of higher education and research in Lithuania awarding the diplomas and degrees at PhD, MSc and BSc levels in the fields of food sciences, agriculture, forestry, water and land resources management, bioenergy and mechanical engineering, climate change and sustainable use of natural resources. Discuss with the representatives and current innovations in agriculture. Afternoon visit “Lytagra” agricultural company in Bernatoniai. AB “Lytagra” is one of the largest companies in Lithuania with its 23 branches and six subsidiaries spread over the territory of Lithuania . Trade: ferrous metals , pipes, building materials, fasteners, non-ferrous metals , agricultural machinery , tractors , agricultural machinery , tractors, trucks and cars, spare parts, electrical goods , tools, batteries , compressors , tires , belts , rubber articles , bearings and household goods. AB “Lytagra” has a private farm in which is testing new agricultural machinery. Overnight in Kaunas.

 

DAY 4 Morning visit Pakruojo Manor. Classical style Pakruojis ensemble is one of the largest and most valuable Lithuania Manor ensemble . Manor ensemble built from the XVIII century . It is the example of late Neoclassical architecture and the largest surviving estate of 26 buildings ensemble in Lithuania. Later trip to Rundale Palace. The Rundale Palace is set amidst the fertile Zemgale Plains in the south of Latvia. Most of the interior decorations were created between 1765 and 1768 when a sculptor from Berlin Johann Michael Graff, and Italian painters from St. Petersburg Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucchi worked at the palace.The representation rooms in the eastern wing of the palace – the Gilt Hall, the White Hall, and the Great Gallery – are open to the public. Evening tour in Riga. Riga is more than 800 years old and with a blend of a medieval centre and a modern city. Mixed together so perfectly that it fits every taste and with an enchanting and irresistible charm of old times. Overnight in Riga. 

 

DAY 5 Morning trip to Venspils to visit the BIO factory in Venspilis. “Bio-Venta” has begun producing biodiesel at its 30 MMgy biodiesel plant inVentspils, Latvia according to the facility's construction and design company BioDiesel International AGof Graz, Austria. Bio-Venta is producing its European Norm EN14214-certified biodiesel mainly for export to Statoil ASA of Norway. The export accounts for approximately 1.5 percent of all Latvian exports. Afternoon traditional sauna spa at the local farmstead; Overnight in Riga. 

 

DAY 6 Private transfer to the airport. End of the tour. Departure.
